Travel Etiquette
On Board or on the Road
What you should know, before you go

• Be on time, nobody likes to wait, as they hold the plane.
• Don’t butt in line, just because you know someone standing by the front.
• Don’t bring your entire going away party with you in line.
• The person beside you does not necessarily care about your plans, if both people are not engaged equally; you are probably being a bother.
• If your travel companion(s) is not sitting with you, don’t feel you must carry on a conversation across the plane.

• Address the staff of the transportation company with common courtesy.
• If you require information or assistance, do not interrupt staff if they are engaged with another passenger, wait until they are finished before speaking.
• If you are traveling with children, do not allow them to hang off or grab the seat in front of you or stand up in the view of the people behind you, who may be watching the in-house show; also remember to be considerate to the passengers beside you.
• The seat you are seating on is the seat you paid for; use the arm rest instead of the seat in front of you to haul yourself up.
• Do not bang the seat in front of you with your knees or stick your feet on them.

• If there is not enough or any room to store your stuff under the seat in front of you, do not place it in the space of the other passengers, place it in the storage overhead
• Do not carry offensive material to read or watch.
• Need to stretch your legs? Make sure you are not standing in front of others that may be watching the onboard show.
• If you are traveling in a group, keep to one side of the sidewalk while sightseeing.
• Move off the walk path if you need to give instruction to your group; do not stop in the middle of a thoroughfare.

• Watch for people trying to take a picture as they probably don’t want a picture of you walking in front of them.
• Comply with the rules of the sites and places you visit ie: no pictures, dress codes etc, if you don’t have consideration, you are offensive to not only the country you are visiting but the country where you are from.
• Lost? Pull over completely to look at your map, or get directions, don’t hold up traffic.
• Bring tissue, different altitudes may cause stuffiness, nobody wants to hear you sniffle throughout the journey.
• Scents are as bad as B.O. and bad breath. Remember you will be in close proximity of others.

You are representing your country; please make us proud while visiting other places
